  2. Guwahati - Bomdila By Road (340 Kms / 9 Hrs approx.)

    Today after an early breakfast in the morning, we will drive towards Bomdila. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel in Bomdila for night stay.

  3. Bomdila Sightseeing Scenic Tour

    Morning visit the #Bomdila Monastery, the biggest tourist attraction here. If you’re not too tired, you may trek up to #RR Hill, Bomdila’s highest point. The landscapes of Tibet and Bhutan are worth watching from the top, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Tibet and Bhutan. If time permits, the #Eaglenest Sanctuary, #Kameg River, and the #Bomdila Apple Orchard are good options for sightseeing.

  4. Bomdila - Tawang By Road (210 Kms / 6 Hrs approx.)

    Post breakfast, proceed to Tawang.

  5. Tawang Sightseeing Ride the Elephant

    Enjoy the breakfast at the hotel, and then proceed for the local sightseeing tour in Tawang. You will be visiting the #Tawang Monastery, which is around 400 yrs old and is the is the 6th birth place of Dalai Lama Galden Namgyel Lhatse. #The Tawang Gompa is a major attraction of the town with a commanding view of the splendid valleys beyond. Also, you will be visiting the #War memorial. The evening is free at leisure for shopping.

  6. Tawang - Dirang By Road (150 Kms / 5 Hrs approx.)

    Morning drive to Dirang. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Evening proceed for the local sightseeing tour in Dirang.

  7. Dirang Sightseeing - Nameri National Park By Road (170 Kms / 5 Hrs approx.)

    Post breakfast, you will start the local sightseeing in Dirang and later drive straight to Nameri Eco Camp. Enjoy a night stay at the camp in Nameri.

  8. Nameri National Park - Kaziranga By Road (90 Kms / 2 Hrs approx.)

    Today, we will be visiting the #Nameri National Park. Later, we will drive to Kaziranga, the homeland of the Great India one horned Rhinoceros. Upon arrival, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. The evening is free at leisure.

  9. Kaziranga National Park Enjoy the Safari

    Today early in the morning, you will enjoy an elephant ride at the Kaziranga National Park. The actual attraction of this national park is a broad diversity of wildlife beauty. The chief riches trove of Kaziranga is vast one horned Rhinoceros, but it is also a house to other species of Flora & Fauna for instance, #Elephants, wild Asiatic water #Buffalo, #Swamp Deer, #Hog Deer, #Gaur, #Samber, Indian Mautjac & many more. Kaziranga is also familiar as a significant Bird life watching point of bird life.

    After an amazing elephant ride, you will return back to the resort for breakfast. Thereafter, we will proceed for a Jeep Safari in the National Park. The evening is free at leisure for witnessing the natural beauty of the place.

  10. Kaziranga NP - Guwahati By Road (220 Kms / 5 Hrs approx.)

    Morning drive to Guwahati and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon, take a temple tour visiting #Maa Kamakhya Temple, #Narbagraha Temple, and #Sukhleshwar Temple.

    The evening is free at leisure for shopping.

  11. Guwahati - Home Treasure the Sweet Memories!

    Morning you will be transferred to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station to catch your flight or train for your onward destination or back home with of course sweet memories of the trip.

Winter

It starts in December and extends until February.

Temperature: The temperatures range between 7 to 10 degrees Celsius.

Weather: The weather during winters is icy. The entire area gets covered with a sheet of snow; making it hard to travel longer distances. The temperatures can sometimes drop below zero degrees Celsius making the place very frigid.

Significance: The entire place turns into a white dream, attracting tourists from all over to visit it regardless of the weather.

Why you should visit now: To get a glimpse of the beautiful snow-covered peaks and experience snowfall in some of the hilly areas.

Know before you visit:  Areas like Gangtok, Rinchenpong and Pelling are the best places to visit during this season. However, some of the hilly areas are inaccessible due to extreme weather conditions.

Tips: Make sure you carry heavy woolens and jackets to guard yourself against the freezing temperatures.

 

Summer

It starts in April and extends until June.

Temperature: The temperature ranges between 10 degrees Celsius in the higher lying areas to 25 degrees Celsius in the lower lying areas.

Weather: The weather is delightful during summers. With lush green pastures and mountains slightly covered in snow, the entire area looks like a dream.

Significance: It is the most preferred time to visit if you want to go on an adventurous journey to mountains across the area.

Why you should visit now: This is the best season to visit North East India because the weather is pleasant and you can indulge yourself in various activities.

Know before you visit: There are also many flowers that bloom during this season making the entire area very colorful and vibrant.

Tips: The night times can get chilly, so it is advised to carry some woolen clothes.

 

Monsoon

The monsoons start in July and extend until September.

Temperature: The temperatures can go as high as 15 degrees Celsius and can get relatively cold over the night.

Weather: The temperatures are mild enough and cooperate to explore the surroundings easily.

Significance: Though it is an off-peak season; tourists rush to this place to experience the low lying areas.

Why you should visit now: The monsoon rains make the waterfalls gush with water; thus making it one of the popular time to visit northeast India. Waterfalls amidst lush greenery is a sight to witness!

Know before you visit:  There are a lot of landslides during this season, so it is preferred to visit the low lying areas to escape from the risk.

Tips: Always carry an umbrella wherever you go to protect yourself from the rains.

 

Post Monsoon

This season falls from October to November or mid-December.

Temperature: The temperatures range between 10 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius.

Weather:  This season is just before the onset of winter, and hence the temperatures are not yet that cold. However, the rains bring in a lot of chilly breezes in the area.

Significance: The landscapes are greener with slight breezes here and there.

Why you should visit now: Though this is an off-peak season; the monasteries can be well explored during this period. You can also enjoy trekking and other adventure sports, making it one of the best season to visit North East India.

Know before you visit: The view of Kanchenjunga range is quite clear during this period.

Tips: Hotels rates are comparatively low during this season.
